Watercolour, 22ct gold leaf and pearlescent pigment bring shimmering life to this dragonfly perched among the reeds. The dark spots on the wing give it the name of Four Spotted Chaser, but it is also known as a Skimmer. Painting size 17 x 17 on deckle torn cotton paper, float mounted in a limed wooden frame measuring 26 x 26 cm (click on thumbnail below to see the painting in its frame).
