A giclée print is a superior quality digital print, professionally produced to be archival for a life span of many years, provided it is cared for by not hanging it for long periods in direct sunlight, or in high moisture areas such as bathrooms.

It differs from a normal inkjet print by being a very high resolution copy (scanned or photographed) of the original artwork, and printed on archival paper using ink which is pigment-based, not dye-based, so it will not fade.
