The original watercolour painting was scanned at very high resolution to create this superior quality giclée print, true to the painting in size and colour. The giclée process, on archival paper with pigment-based inks, results in an extremely long lasting print.

I was lucky, when painting this male chaffinch, to come across a sprig of hawthorn with pink flowers; the subtle, dusty pinks harmonised really well with his feathers, so provided the ideal setting in which to paint him.

The print is available in a limed wooden frame (26 x 26 x 2cm ), or in a textured ivory mount (23 x 23 cm) ready for a frame of your choice.
